By Five
The Wimmera Southern Mallee Regional Partnership Early Years Project, By Five, is now up and running and aims to streamline and coordinate services supporting young children and their families in the region. The project aims to explore and provide the very best early-years learning experience for children in a regional, rural and remote setting.
Housing
Housing is considered the Wimmera Southern Mallee’s (WSM) number one challenge inhibiting growth, liveability and economic strength. To address the region’s dire housing shortage, the Housing Blueprint has been developed to guide plans for innovative housing solutions.
Leadership
Leadership Wimmera’s mission is to stimulate, facilitate and sustain leadershup in the region. We provide cost-effective programs to ensure people who want to participate and learn new skills have the opportunity to do so.
Energy & Net Zero
WDA is working with local agencies to support Wimmera Southern Mallee farmers to implement a zero emissions approach in their businesses. Agencies are working directly with local farming communities to tackle these issues using different but complementary approaches.
Settlement Program
WSM considers migration a primary driver to the prosperity of the region and works with a range of partners and stakeholders to deliver services, support communities and advocate for migration as a regional priority issue.
Tourism
The Wimmera Southern Mallee is a mix of sweeping plains and rich desert landscapes, with the popular mountain parks of the Grampians and Mt Arapiles rising in the South.
Workforce
Our role is to provide advice to the Department of Home Affairs on the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) visa Employer Sponsored stream nomination applications, using local area knowledge to advise on whether the nominee for the position will be paid at least the annual market salary rate for the occupation under the legislative requirements of the scheme.
