Welcome to the Harmony and Cultural Diversity Week celebrations page, otherwise known as Fortnight Fest! Here you will find all of the relevant information and events for the two week celebration of our amazing multicultural communities in the Wimmera.
Harmony Week is celebrated Australia wide from the 16th-22nd of March.
Cultural Diversity Week is celebrated in Victoria, from 21st-29th of March.
This year, Harmony and Cultural Diversity Week celebrations were be held in collaboration over these two weeks. See the four events below. Events were be made up of performances, dancing, children’s activities, food, market stalls, singing and more!
Diversity Day Highlights – 2026
Around 250-350 people, including audience and performers, celebrated our region’s cultural diversity at Diversty Day in Horsham on March 14. Below are a series of videos highlighting the performances and many aspects of the day. Thanks to Rio McKenzie for filming on the day and to all who joined in to make this such a memorable celebration.

Film Screening – Shared Table: Regional Heroes – A Feast of Stories Beyond Borders
Directed by Nandita Chakraborty and produced with CALD Community Voices, Shared Table tells the stories of migrant heroes across regional Victoria. Explore the journeys, challenges and heartwarming stories of migrants who now call regional Australia home.
The first screening took place in Nhill on March 20th at the Nhill Community Centre from 6.15pm.
The second screening was held in Horsham on March 26th at Federation University from 5.30pm with a Q+A session. The audience heard from the filmmaker and cast and had a chance to discuss migration and settlement experiences in the Wimmera Southern Mallee region.

Meet the Services: At the Horsham Diversity Day event on March 14th local businesses and support services from across the region will have a stall at the Town Hall. Come down for a chat to find out what services are on offer and how they can help assist you and your families.
Writing competition- Grampians Multicultural Hub is hosting a writing competition for primary and high school students. Share a short story or a poem about multicultural diversity. For more information visit the Grampians Multicultural Hub Facebook page.
Digital competition: The Victorian Multicultural Commission is hosting an online competion, encouraging people to showcase themselves engaging with a culture that is different to their own. You can upload short vidoes or images and there are prizes to be won. Visit the VMC website to find out more.
