Are you looking to step up in your career, community or life? Do you have a passion and vision for your business or region but need some guidance on how to turn those ideas into realities?

Applications are now open for Leadership Wimmera’s Changemakers course – the perfect way to gain valuable skills, knowledge and connections to help achieve your goals.

Twenty-four years since it first began, the highly regarded program is offering a six-month course beginning in July.

Facilitated by Leading Teams, Leadership Wimmera’s Changemakers aims to cultivate strong, community-focused leaders.

Starting with a two-day workshop, and followed by monthly sessions, participants will engage in a dynamic mix of immersive workshops, social awareness training and leadership development activities.

With up to 20 places available, people in business, community and services are urged to take up this valuable leadership development opportunity.

Local businesses can invest in their future by sponsoring a team member’s participation and community members may be eligible for a scholarship to support participation costs.

Wimmera Southern Mallee Development CEO Chris Sounness said in an era of increasing uncertainty, good leadership had never been more critical.

“This program is designed for established and aspiring leaders—whether they own or manage a business or have leadership roles in the workplace or community,” he said.

“Participants will gain in-depth leadership skills, refine their personal leadership ‘brand,’ and develop strategies to make a lasting impact.

“I encourage anyone looking to grow their skills, take the next step in their career or help their community prosper, to apply for this program.

“We all have the capacity to lead and this is your chance to discover and hone your own leadership qualities and, in the process, help take your workplace, community or business into a better future.”

Applications close June 14 and Changemakers will begin on July 8 and run until November.
