Squadron Energy is conducting a review of its annual Murra Warra Wind Farm (MWWF) Sustainable Community Grants Program to ensure funds continue to best meet the needs of local communities.
Since its inception in 2021, the MWWF Sustainable Community Grants Program has proudly contributed over $300,000 to support impactful projects in communities near the wind farm, which is 25 kms north of Horsham.
“Squadron Energy has been an active member of the local community for several years and is proud to have supported a wide range of projects from solar panels on clubrooms to environmental preservation programs,” Squadron Energy Executive General Manager, Operations Stuart Davis said.
“This review is an important step in aligning our grants program with the current and future needs of the diverse Wimmera communities across the region.”
Community members are invited to provide feedback on the current program or share ideas for its future by completing a short survey before February 28, 2025. Applications for the 2025 grants program will open on April 1, 2025, with more details to be announced closer to the date.
The grants program is administered by social and economic development leading body, Wimmera Southern Mallee Development (WSMD) on behalf of Squadron Energy.
