About CoRE
Wimmera Southern Mallee Development is part of the Women’s Health Grampians’ Communities of Respect and Equality (CoRE) Alliance.
The CoRE Alliance is a partnership of organisations, businesses, clubs and groups who share a vision for safe, equal and respectful communities in the Grampians region.
CoRE members commit to the CoRE Strategy to Prevent Violence Against Women and their Children. This strategy guides individual organisations and collective work fostering communities of respect, equality and preventing violence against women.

Our Leadership Statement
“WSM Development believes it is important for women and children to live free from gender-based violence and that every person is valued, heard, respected and empowered professionally and personally.
- At WSM Development we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone to collaborate and conduct business. We have zero tolerance for violence or abuse in the home, workplace or broader community and recognise that it remains a problem in our region and across Australia. We are committed to leading the way when it comes to gender equality and preventing violence against women and minority groups in our region and exceeding our obligations under the Gender Equality Act 2020 by: Not condoning violence against women and children at work or home.
- Promoting women’s independence in decision-making at work and encouraging professional development.
- Normalising gender equality and making it part of our day-to-day business by creating a gender balanced workforce composition, pay equality and addressing gender equality and inclusion through embedding a gender lens into workforce policies, procedures and practices.

We aim to use our position of leadership to promote awareness of anti-violence against women in all areas of society, as well as stand up for gender equality in the workplace.
We hope our commitment can help drive cultural change in every workplace, community organisation and home in the Wimmera Southern Mallee region. Every person residing in the Wimmera Southern Mallee region should live in a safe and equal society, have access to information, resources and opportunities and be treated with dignity, respect and fairness.
